Oct. 1 (APN) — Claudia De La Cruz, the Socialism and Liberation Party’s presidential candidate, will visit SUNY Potsdam on Wednesday as part of her campaign. De La Cruz is on the ballot in 19 states, though not in New York.
Her campaign previously participated in local events, including Potsdam Pride, and led a protest in Canton regarding the Gaza conflict.
Other third-party candidates, such as Jill Stein of the Green Party and Robert F. Kennedy Jr., have also campaigned in New York, but no third-party candidate has qualified for the state ballot.
In the 2020 election, third-party candidates garnered just over 1% of New York’s vote.
