Sunrise September 17, 1952 – Sunset January 15, 2025Mr. Curtis Lloyd (Spike) Milton III, 72, formerly of Ithaca, NY entered eternal rest peacefully surrounded by family, on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at home Holiday City, Toms River, NJ.Curtis was raised in Ithaca and was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving his country honorably. After returning from military service, he found many ways to be of service to the Ithaca community he loved. He was a founding member of The Circle of Recovery, a local resource for community members of color, striving to maintain sobriety and give back to their community.Curtis was a skilled tradesman in the areas of masonry, landscaping, interior construction; and many community members can recount the work and assistance he provided. He was always impeccably dressed, sharp neat and fresh; so much so, that Randy named the creases in his clothes ‘The Curtis Crease.” Curtis (Spike) was the oldest of 8 children and leaves to cherish his memories; his wife of the heart, Jacqueline Ingell; Daughters: Autumn (Meleek) Milton-Miller, Briana, Katie and Shaynara Milton; Grandchildren: Maiesha Harris, Naeem Clark, Agoddess & Aa’Keya Miller, Kae’ron, Kai’Heir, Teh’Vonn, Teh’Avionn, Zaa’Harianna Forest, Jowell Washington, Stephan Gordon Jr., Aa’mir Milton and Nausire Davis; Great-Grandchildren: Katalena & Kalyse Arocho and Nakemi Clark.Siblings: Patricia (Sister) Milton, Douglas Milton Sr, Bruce Milton, Christopher (Sylvia) Milton, Lana (Missy)-(Angelo) Milton-Bowles and Ricky Milton; Uncles: Chester (Copper) Johnson – transitioned Jan. 21, 2025, Duane (Sluggo)-(Carol) Milton and Frederick Richardson. Loved dearly by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends. Curtis was cherished by Jolie Waite, Jayne Ellis, Randall, Raymond and Ryan Ingell – children and Daigon Bishop, Lillian & Wade Ellis, Luna & Nova Ingell – grandchildren of his heart; who were grateful to have him in their lives.He was preceded in death by his parents: Curtis L. Milton Jr. and Patricia A. Milton, a brother, Wendell (Rocky) Milton, Granddaughter – T’keya Harris, Nephew – Malcolm Milton, Aunt – Lois (Tillie) Hines, Uncle – Bernie (Renee) Milton and his adored, beloved Lil’ man-Chihuahua El’Nino. Curtis was a good man who lived a good full life. His earthly journey has ended and his best life in heaven has begun.A celebration of Life for Curtis will be celebrated Saturday, April 5th, 2025, Noon-3:00 pm at the Southside Community Center, 305 S.
