Shapiro administration tells Pa. court it will not defend state ban on Medicaid-funded abortions

The Shapiro administration says that after reviewing the Supreme Court’s decision, it has concluded that the Abortion Control Act’s prohibitions on using public funds to pay for abortion — unless the life of the mother is at risk or the pregnancy is the result of rape or incest — violate the constitution.
