WHITNEY POINT, N.Y. — On October 24 at 11:47 a.m., New York State Police and EMS personnel responded to a fishing access site across from 2677 Main Street in the village of Whitney Point.
Authorities discovered a 35-year-old male from Whitney Point deceased along the riverbank. The investigation is ongoing, but police do not believe there is any danger to the public.
Whitney Point Fire, Lisle Fire, and the Maine Emergency Squad also responded to the scene. Further details are expected as the investigation continues.
