ITHACA, N.Y. — Two men were injured during an assault in Collegetown early Thursday morning, according to the Ithaca Police Department. Police issued a press release that detailed the incident. Around 1 a.m. on Thursday, a verbal dispute between a group of two people and another group of 2-3 people turned physical. Two victims were hurt, sustaining non-life-threatening injuries. According to police, the victims were both college-aged and did not know the suspects. The release said the “primary male perpetrator” was wearing a white bandana and a black shirt with the words “8 against hate,” an Ivy League slogan.
