Flint, MI — The Flint & Genesee Group’s Women in Action (WIA) employee resource group will host a luncheon celebrating National Women’s Equality Day, officially recognized Aug. 26. The luncheon will take place on Aug. 28 and will feature a presentation, “Ensuring Equal Opportunity and Equity for Women,” by Tarnesa Martin, a patient resource and community advocate at Hurley Medical Center.In addition, the event will also include panel discussion with prominent local women leaders, including Kim Dinger, owner of Kim Rose Fashions; Claudnyse Holloman, president and CEO of Voices for Children Advocacy Center; Grace Peabody, president of Peabody Insurance; and Teresa Springer, director of operations for Wellness Services of Flint.More than 200 people are expected to attend the luncheon, which has been organized and led by Flint & Genesee Group employees who belong to the WIA employee resource group. This internal group fosters a climate of diversity and inclusion and provides opportunities for professional and life enrichment.
