The New York State Police are investigating the deaths of two men in Chenango Forks, which they have described as suspicious.

CHENANGO FORKS, N.Y. – The New York State Police are investigating the deaths of two men in Chenango Forks, which they have described as suspicious.

The small hamlet is near Binghamton, NY.

On Monday, authorities identified the deceased as Scott E. Cleary, 63, and Matthew J. Lott, 38. Both men were residents of 257 Parsons Road, according to state police.

Cleary’s body was discovered at the residence, while Lott was found about a quarter mile north, near railroad tracks. Police noted that the two men were acquaintances.

No further details have been released as the investigation continues.
